The Amphitheater is a tribute to Veterans of all wars.  It is used for concerts - such as the Blues on the Mississippi series and the Oldies by the River series - and other events.

Laborers House

The Laborers House, built in 1851, originally housed the civilian laborers who contracted with the War Department to erect the buildings in the Ordnance section of Jefferson Barracks. Later it served as the residence of the ordnance keeper. Over the years it has served in many other capacities. Today the house is set up to show how it might have appeared when the ordnance keeper and his family lived there.

Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge Monument

(Photos courtesy of B. Pilger and P. Galanos)

This monument commemorates those who made the supreme sacrifice for their country and the heroic American soldiers who defeated the German armies in the Ardennes Campaign of World War II. The monument was a gift of the Gateway Chapter of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge along with other organizations and individuals. It was dedicated in October 1997.

A statue honoring all American soldiers who fought in World War II stands next to the Battle of the Bulge Memorial.  The statue was installed in June 2009.
