Jefferson Barracks Preservation Foundation, DBA Friends of Jefferson Brracks is a public charity qualified under 501 (C) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of the Friends of Jefferson Barracks shall be to provide support to the programs, exhibitions, museum collections and other needs of Jefferson Barracks County Park. Support is generated by raising funds through events, sales, donations, grants, or other means or actions deemed appropriate by our Board of Directors.

The Friends of Jefferson Barracks has been an active committee since the 1980s. Each year they have generated funds for park support from a Military Collectors Swap Meet, Adult Egg Hunt, World War II Weekend Canteen Dance, Concession stand at the JB Blast Fireworks Display, and the operation of a gift shop in the Visitors Center. We also solicit and have received donations from various supporters in the community and across the country. Donations and funds raised have been used for a lengthy list of completed projects in Jefferson Barracks County Park. Those projects include:

- VISITOR CENTER ADDITION
- STOCKTON PICNIC SHELTER
- COST SHARING FOR THE MUSEUM SLATE ROOFS
- TEN INTERPRETIVE PANELS
- POWDER MAGAZINE MUSEUM LIGHTING UPGRADE
- OLD ORDNANCE ROOM MUSEUM LIGHTING UPGRADE
- FRENCH DRAIN FOR THE VISITORS CENTER
- NORTH GATE ENTRANCE RESTORATION
- LABORER'S HOUSE WEDDING GARDEN
- MUSEUM EXHIBIT SUPPORT

In addition to the above list the Friends of Jefferson Barracks have provided financial support to many Boy Scout Eagle and Girl Scout Gold Award Projects. These projects have included Honeysuckle removal from the WWII barracks foundations, brush clearing and painting at the Lewis and Clark Overlook and Shelter, new benches at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater, Arbor construction with slate foundation and brick walk way at the Laborer's House Wedding Garden, Cannon mounts for the Museum cannons, and construction of candle light holders for night park activities.
